Turn memories into something you can hold.

Extra Dimension Printing creates AI-assisted 3D printed sculptures from photos, preserving family, pets, memorial pieces, and meaningful moments as calm, artful keepsakes.

How it works

A careful path from photo to sculpture.

The process is designed around clarity, consent, proofing, and a finished object that feels worthy of the memory behind it.

01

Upload photos

Share two to five meaningful images with notes about the person, pet, or moment.

02

We create a digital 3D model

AI-assisted reconstruction and sculptural refinement turn your references into a digital form.

03

You approve the proof

Review a digital preview and request thoughtful changes before production begins.

04

We print and finish your sculpture

Your piece is 3D printed, hand-finished, inspected, and prepared for shipment.

Trust

Sensitive memories deserve a careful process.

The experience is designed to feel calm and transparent from photo intake through proofing, quoting, production, and delivery.

Private photos stay private

Customer photos, names, pets, and memorial stories are not used publicly unless permission is clearly given.

Proofed before production

You review the digital direction before the sculpture enters physical production.

Quoted before the final balance

Size, print resolution, preparation time, and production complexity are reviewed before the final quote is confirmed.

Stripe-hosted payments

Deposits and balances are handled through Stripe checkout. Card details are not stored by this site.

Keepsake ideas

Memorial does not have to mean only loss.

Some pieces honour someone who has passed. Others celebrate someone still here, a moment that changed you, or an object that carries a whole story.

Pets, present or remembered

A beloved dog, cat, horse, or companion animal, whether they are still with you or held in memory.

Children and younger memories

A favourite childhood pose, a toddler smile, a first outfit, or a memory of your child at an age you wish you could hold again.

Grandparents and family members

A quiet way to preserve the presence of a grandparent, parent, sibling, partner, or loved one who has recently passed.

Weddings and milestones

Wedding portraits, pregnancy memories, anniversaries, graduations, new homes, and other once-in-a-life chapters.

Artistic or playful versions

A stylized portrait, light caricature, expressive pose, or imaginative version of a person, child, family, or pet.

Favourite possessions

A car, instrument, keepsake toy, heirloom object, or meaningful item that carries a story of its own.

Open to meaningful ideas

If the memory matters, it is worth asking about.

Your piece can be realistic, sculptural, warm, elegant, slightly playful, or artistically interpreted. The best starting point is a photo and a short note about what the memory means.

Pricing preview

Clear starting points before custom quoting.

You should never feel like the deposit opens a blank cheque. These starting points help frame the likely scope before we review the photos and confirm the final quote.

Starting at

Keepsake Sculpture

$129

Smaller single-subject pieces with a clean sculptural finish and straightforward production scope.

Starting at

Fine Detail Sculpture

$249

Larger scale or thinner-layer print settings when refined surface detail and longer build time matter.

Starting at

Advanced Reconstruction

$349

Projects with multiple subjects, extra digital preparation, delicate elements, or higher production risk.

What changes the quote

Higher cost means more time, refinement, or production care.

The difference is not simply “good” versus “better.” It is the amount of reconstruction, resolution, printer time, and planning needed to create a piece confidently.

Scale

Larger pieces use more material, require longer build windows, and need more careful handling.

Print resolution

All pieces are made to studio standards. Fine resolution uses thinner layers when surface detail matters most.

Studio preparation

Some subjects need more reconstruction, cleanup, pose adjustment, or base integration before printing.

Production complexity

Thin features, delicate shapes, overhangs, multiple subjects, or complex poses may need extra print planning.

Print time

A high-resolution build can add hours to a single print, even when the sculpture is the same physical size.

Presentation

Bases, inscriptions, memorial presentation, care cards, and packaging can be added when they serve the piece.

Start with a $75 CAD design deposit.

Submit the intake first, then place the deposit when you are ready to reserve studio review and reconstruction time. The deposit is applied toward the final balance, and the final quote is confirmed after we review size, print resolution, preparation needs, proofing scope, and production risk.

If the project is not a fit for the studio, the deposit can be refunded. Once custom reconstruction work begins, the deposit may be non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Before you submit

A thoughtful start makes the sculpture better.

Your photos are the heart of the piece. They help us understand likeness, posture, personality, and the details that make the memory feel alive.

What to send

Two to five clear photos are enough to begin. Front, side, and close-detail views help us understand shape, expression, and presence.

What we review

We look at photo clarity, subject complexity, desired size, print resolution, and any features that may need extra preparation.

What you approve

You receive a digital proof before physical production. The piece moves forward only after the form, quote, and proof make sense.

How payment works

The $75 CAD deposit reserves studio review and reconstruction time, then applies toward the final quoted balance.

Trust and privacy

Personal photos deserve a quiet, careful process.

We keep the experience calm: upload the reference images, get a realistic scope, review the proof, then move into production only when the direction feels right.

  • No card details are collected by the intake form.
  • Your photos are used to review and create your custom piece.
  • Memorial and family pieces are handled privately and with care.

Quick photo guide

The quick version

Send 2-5 clear, well-lit photos where the subject is easy to see. For best results, include the whole subject, use natural angles, and choose the photo that feels most like them or most true to the memory.

And do not worry about perfection. If your most treasured photo is not ideal, send it anyway. We will tell you honestly if another image may work better, and we will not move forward without your approval.

What makes a strong reference photo

Sharp and in focus, with the original image file preferred over screenshots.

Soft, even light from a window, open shade, or another gentle source.

The full subject visible, with important details not cut off or hidden.

Eye-level or natural angles that show shape, posture, and personality.

A simple background so the subject is easy to separate from the scene.

A pose or expression that feels true to the memory you want preserved.

Please try to avoid

  • Blurry motion shots or very low-resolution images.
  • Heavy filters, AI-altered images, or photos of another screen.
  • Direct flash, strong backlighting, or deep shadows over the subject.
  • Hands, furniture, glass, leashes, toys, or clutter hiding key details.
  • Extreme angles from straight above or far below.
  • Heavy portrait-mode blur that softens edges, hair, fur, or object details.

A few extra tips

  • Send 2-5 photos. A front view, side view, and three-quarter view are especially useful.
  • For people, include the expression, pose, clothing, or age that matters most.
  • For pets, whole-body photos at their eye level are often the strongest starting point.
  • For objects like a car or heirloom, send multiple angles and one close detail shot.
  • Older or imperfect photos are welcome. Send the clearest copy you have and we will guide you honestly.

FAQ

Thoughtful answers before you begin.

The experience is built around a careful proofing process and respectful handling of meaningful photos.

What kinds of memories can become a keepsake?

Customers can request keepsakes for pets, children, grandparents, family members, weddings, pregnancies, special occasions, artistic portraits, favourite possessions, and other meaningful memories.

Can you create a 3D printed sculpture from photos?

Yes. The process uses customer photos as reference for an AI-assisted digital reconstruction that is refined into a sculptural 3D printable keepsake.

Do you need multiple photos?

Multiple photos help us understand shape, expression, and proportions. Two to five clear photos are ideal, but we can advise if you only have a limited archive.

What photos work best?

Sharp, well-lit original photos work best. Include the whole subject when possible, use natural angles, avoid heavy filters or screenshots, and send two to five views so the studio can understand shape and detail.

Can you make pets?

Yes. Pets are a natural fit for single-subject keepsakes and memorial presentation pieces.

Is it realistic or sculptural?

The finish is intentionally sculptural. We aim for recognizable presence and emotional likeness, not a wax-figure replica.

How long does it take?

Timing depends on size, print resolution, digital preparation, proof revisions, and production time. A typical keepsake moves from intake to production after proof approval.

What affects the final price?

Final pricing depends on size, number of subjects, chosen print resolution, digital preparation, proofing needs, build time, production complexity, and presentation choices.

Can I request changes?

Yes. Customers receive a digital proof before production and can approve it or request a revision.

Do you offer memorial pieces?

Yes. Memorial pieces are handled with extra care, calm communication, and proofing before anything is printed.

Do you ship keepsakes across Canada?

Yes. We can prepare delivery options for customers across Canada once a piece is ready for shipment.
